Hey it's been a while since I've been here online. Thought I'd just leave a quick message. We'll be in Indianapolis this Saturday night so we'll be looking for all our friends to be there. Hope everyone is doing well. This economy is tough and lots of our usual places to play are cutting back if they're hiring at all. Some are even out of business and gone completely. If you know some one that is booking bands please let us know, we want to play in your town. I hope to see everyone Saturday night. Jack will be playing drums for us as Eddie has retired from his day job and is on an extended vacation. We expect he'll be back around the first of September. Can't blame him after working that day job for all these years. Looks like my day job will be gone by the end of September so I'll be looking for work somewhere. In the mean time I'm going to work on my studio and do some recording to pass the time until I have work. I've been practicing with the Ice Blue Band as well as The Trojan Band to fill some of the holes in my schedule. I'll be appearing with Ice Blue on August 28th at an outdoor festival in Dayton Ohio. We did a concert with Elvis Presly Jr. on July 17th in Greenville Ohio. It went well and I was glad to see some familiar faces in the crowd. I'm looking forward to more work with "Jr." as we call him. He's a great guy and really good but what would you expect knowing who his father was. BTW, today is the 33rd anniversary of Elvis Presly's death. If you ever get near Graceland be sure to go, it's a very nice and touching memorial to "the King". I was there with my Mother some years ago and it was nice. Much of the house has now been opened up to see as well I hear. Well Gotta go. See you all Saturday night. Kris

Here’s another quick posting to update everyone. My mother’s health continues to be precarious at best. We are waiting for a strong positive sign that she’s getting better. This injury has taken a lot out of her and we’re worried that she isn’t resilient enough to shake it off. Your prayers are appreciated. As for me I’m working hard to learn to control my diabetes and it’s not going the best. I’ve only been able to get my levels into the normal range once and one time I went below normal and became hypoglycemic. The meds I’m taking don’t seem to be getting the job done so either the doctors will need to up my medication, change my medication or I may have to start giving myself insulin shots. I really don’t want to have to do that but what ever it takes. I’ve noticed that my vision is affected severely when my levels are above 150 so I have to cautious not to go somewhere and not be able to drive home. It’s definitely becoming a challenge but I’ll get a handle onit soon I hope. More later. Kris

Well Surprise! Surprise! Here I am finally with another posting to our blog. From the looks of things I’m the only one that’s reading or posting lately. I hope that we’ll see more from our friends and fans here. Just to bring everyone up to date, I’ve been busy with my mother in the hospital after falling and breaking her hip. She has a new left hip to match her previously replaced right hip. On Friday last week she came home. I’m glad she’s home but she still has a lot of rehab to do. After getting her settled in on Friday (I took the day off) I went home and rested. I had been feeling very fatigued and weak. Lo and behold I got a visit from the diabetes fairy. With a great big side order of pneumonia too boot. I went to the hospital on Saturday and they admitted me into ICU. THAT’S SCARY!!! I had suspected I was having some issues but was really surprised when my blood sugar test came back at 510. It was quite an experience in ICU and my arms and torso look as if I was in a war, so many insulin injections, heavy push iv’s. Then the endless finger pricks to test my blood sugar every hour left my hands a mess. Now I’m struggling to get my readings back into the 80-120 normal range. No luck so far but with my medication and my new diet maybe I’ll get it down there. I have 2 weeks to regulate or I’ll have to give myself insulin shots. I’ve gotten used to getting shots so it’s not going to be that big a deal. If anyone has any experience with this stuff let me know how you dealt with it. I’m home now and finishing my treatment for the pneumonia, weak as a kitten but still standing. I hope to be back in the pink 100% by the time we play in April. I guess at least the timing for this is good while we’re off this month. BUT, I’ll miss playing and seeing all of our friends. Here’s hoping the time passes quickly. Kris

Hey every one!!! Here's a quick note to apologize for an error on our schedule. Last Saturday night we had listed that we would be appearing at the VFW in Connersville IN. In reality we were at the AMVETS just down the street. I hope that this didn't cause any problems for those of you that follow us. To make matters worse, Dudley’s cell phone was not charged and we couldn’t call any one to spread the word. We had a nice evening there at the AMVETS as it was Valentines Day. They had a nice dinner and of course we played for the dance afterward. Today it is snowing like crazy here in Dayton Ohio where I am. I can't speak for any one else but I've had all the snow I need for this year. At home we have 24" on the ground and we're scheduled to get another 10 inches today. Even with my front loader I'm out of places to stack it. I got stuck in my drive this morning with 4 wheel drive, but just a little. A few attempts and I was out and going. Hope the weather and roads are better where you are. Looking forward to seeing everyone in Indy next Saturday night so plan on coming and dancing you shoes off. See you there. Kris

Hey everyone, I’ve just got a minute to leave a message. Most of you don't know that I've started working with another band to fill in those pesky empty spaces in my wallet. And those openings in the Trojan Band Schedule. I’m working with a new group called The Howlin’ Beaver Band. I don’t expect it to interfere with the Trojan Band but it will allow me to keep sharp on my chops and earn a few extra dollars. We played our first gig on Thursday night at the Hot Air Balloon Lounge in Vandalia Ohio. We had a nice crowd and everyone had a great time. The Howlin’ Beaver Band plays a blues format. We have keyboards, bass, guitar, drums and Howlin’ Beaver himself on the harp. We’ve been hired to appear again on November the 7th so if you find yourself in Vandalia around 8:00 stop in, have a beer and give us a listen. If you can’t make it then I’ll be seeing you at the Moose in Indianapolis on the 20th of November, just before Thanksgiving with the Trojans. Come on out and see us there if you can as well. Chuck you can bring some more of those delicious candies that you make so well but it’s really hard on my diet when you do. They are soooo good. Thanks for thinking of us when you come. It’s always good to have fans that are so dedicated. Kris

I just wanted to thank everyone who has given us nice words, thoughts and prayers this week. And thank you to all of you who came to Arlene's visitation and to her funeral today (Friday)... after 32 years of teaching and with all my friends...she had a wonderful turn out... there must have been 500 people come through...so for all of those of you who did ... thank you. When I get to feeling sorry for myself (we were married 27 years next month) I just remind myself that this is the first time in the last 10 years that she hasn't hurt real bad...so for that I'm thankful. To all my wonderful friends who have been so nice to my boys and me this last week... thank you very much. And to those of you who are concerned about me... don't worry.. I'm fine... (almost). :)

Thanks Dudley, I’m looking forward to being in Indianapolis tomorrow night but I won’t be up to par. I’m restricted to 5 pounds lifting for several weeks and because of my large 12 inch+ incision can wear regular pants. I’ll have to wear some kind of sweat pants or lounge pants until I’m further into the healing process. Like you said I’ll look like Michael Jackson going to court only without the hat and gloves. At least I can finally brag about having something longer than 12 inches. HAHAHA Unless something serious happens I’ll see you there. Kris

Well finally here I am. Most of you know that I was scheduled for some surgery on Wednesday September 2nd. The day started well enough but I was misinformed by a nurse that it would be ok to have a little coffee before coming to the hospital. So at 4:30 a.m. I drank 3 sips of coffee and headed off to the hospital. I was checked in and preped and in the presurgical room when a nurse asked me again the last time I ate or drank. I told her about the 3 sips of coffee and before you could say "snafu" I was on my way back to the holding room for 6-1/2 hours of waiting. I finally went to surgery about 1:00 that afternoon. After the usual groggey recovery room scene I was placed in my 6th floor penthouse hospital room overlooking scenic downtown Dayton. Actually, it was a nice view of the good side of a city that has many problems. From my room I could see the lights of the Dayton Dragons playing baseball and the 5 water canons on the riverscape that shoot water hundreds of feet into the air. From a distance they look amazing but from the bridge they cause overspray and limestone discoloration on all the buildings and structures. This was not one of the City Council's better planned ideas. My recovery started well but soon turned a little off the desired path. After shutting down all my sysytems, one of my favorite (and most necessary) ones didn't want to start back up. And with no output came no input. "Clear fluids" has no become a dreaded phrase that I hope to never hear again. Every tray from the kitchen brought the same fare, chicken broth, juice, jello, black coffee and a popsicle for desert. The docotrs came and checked the gargantuan slice they made in my abdomen, nodded in approval then thumped my stomach all round. Time and time again they checked and rechecked, doctor after doctor all asking if I had any success in the bathroom. No was my reply. Get up out of bed and walk was the presccription. So began my journey out of bondage and into the land of milk and honey, at least something besides that damned chicken broth. I walked and walked until I had worn out my hospital issue socks, sat in the bathroom until I was afraid I would need corrrective surgery just to make my but ass fit any seat other than a toilet, but nothing. I argued that nothing comes out if nothing goes in with my best baristor demeanor but was denied eaach time. Finally, late on Friday night/Saturday morning, in the seclusion of my private privey there was a wimper that becaome a rumble that finally roared. With the doctor's arrival on Saturday morning I announced the good news and expected to be rewarded with breakfast fitting a martyr but when it arrrived I received the same "clear liquids" that had been delivered since Wednesday afternoon. I finally ate my first food at Saturday lunch. I had survived without any food since Tuesday night on only popsicles and jello. Quite a feat. I arrived home late on Saturday night and have not done anything until this very posting. I have a substantial 12"+ inscision that is closed with 21 staples that will not be removed for another week. My doctor informed me that he had really broken a sweat working on my stomach. Imagine that, a doctor that had to earn his money. I may be the only patient to get extra value from my health provider but I doubt it. I wish to thank all the doctors, nurses, nurses aides and all the unseen people of Grandview Hospital. They were so very kind, understanding, helpful and generous to a fault that I cannot imagine ever going anywhere else for my care in the future. Now on to the road to recovery. Kris

Hi everyone, We had a great show and a great time Saturday night with the Laurie Morvin Band. They were great as expected and they were just plain nice people to meet. The Trojans have a few weeks off now unless we can finalize a hurry up job in Ft. Wayne this weekend. We were contacted yesterday by phone inquiring about a hurry up appearance and Dave is working feverishly to try to get the deal finalized. Look for any information about August 15th here later this week if it comes through. I'll be using our time off to have some necessary surgery scheduled for September 2nd. We play again on the 11th so I won't have long for recuperation. The guys have promised to help setup and move my equipment so I'm planning to be at all our jobs maybe just a little slower than usual. Hopefully it will help my mobility, flexibility and over all feeling better than in the last few months. I’ll be sure to let everyone know how surgery went and how I’m doing as soon as I’m able to get up around again. We’ll be in Indianapolis for 2 nights when I get back and I look forward to seeing all our friends and fans there at the Moose on 16th Street. Check out our schedule for the address and the hours. You may want to check often as there has been some discussion of changing the hours back to 8:30- 12:30 for the fall and winter months. I’ll see you all there.

Hi everyone! Thanks for the new post Kashmira. The new message doesn't have anything to do with our band, but it is good computer advise. My day job is that of Internet Management Officer/Webmaster and we use Search and Distroy to help clean our computers. There's another program called Adaware (http://www.lavasoft.com) that is a very good program for cleaning spyware too. If you use these two in conjunction with each other, what one misses the other one catches and you have a pretty clean system after running both. And like kashmira reiterated to a clean system will run much better and faster making your computer experience more fun. Speaking of fun... check our Schedule link on our website here and if you have a chance come out and see the Trojan Band. We always have a good time. Hope to see y'all soon!!!

Rid my PC from the bugs. I was very happy that I found the antispyware solution from Search-and-destroy (http://www.Search-and-destroy.com) to help me rid my PC from the bugs that threaten its overall performance. I’m sure that you already know that when you search the wide world of cyberspace you pick up spyware and viruses that can make your computer run slow and sluggish. Over time, it will completely stop working if you don’t find a good scan to prevent this from happening and the Search-and-destroy Antispyware is one of the best I’ve found so far. I love it and I’m sure you will too.

Hi everyone. I've been off line for some time because of computer problems. It looks like they are finally fixed and I can get back on line and on to our web site. It was a long dry spell between jobs but we had a great time in Alexandria last weekend and it looks like we're going to be spending a lot of time in Indianapolis at the Moose. That's great. We have a lot of good friends there and it's always a party when we're there. If your club needs a band then we're the one for you. Look at our schedule and talk to the person that books at your club about having a party with the Trojan Band. We'd love to come to your venue and remember we do more than play at the lodges. We can also play at wedding receptions, graduation parties, birthday parties or any occasion that you want to have a memorable time, WE"LL BE THRERE!! Just call. I hope to see you all in a couple of weeks in Indy. Right now I need the time to mend again. I've caught my son's cold and am really feeling rocky. I had just gotten over the last one he brought home from school. I guess I'm going to have to live in a bubble. I'm looking forward to feeling better and warm weather. I hope you'll all join us for our jobs and come to hear us all the time. We have lots of fans that travel to see us no matter where we are and we really appreciate their support. I hope we can add you to our circle of friends. Kris

Hey everybody. The Trojan Band will be traveling this Labor Day Weekend, to Anderson Indiana Eagles. I hope you will all come to hear us there. Last weekend we were at the Connersville Moose for our Saturday night gig. We struggled with our PA all night and never got it exactly right. Most times we were too loud. We played an out door concert the previous Sunday in Minster Ohio and couldn't quite get a handle on the indoor settings there at Connersville. I was late and as a result the guys put all their efforts into getting me moved in and set up in time to play and we never got a reliable sound check. I promise to be on time Saturday night and we'll have everything corrected for this gig. I hope we'll see you there. Mark is filling in for the injured Dave on the guitar. He does a fine job and Dave will be there so come on by and wish him a speedy recovery, sit a spell, talk to the guys in the band and dance the night away at the Anderson Eagles in Anderson Indiana this Saturday night.

Hi everyone. We had a great time last weekend at Huntington Moose. Those are the nicest people that you could ever meet. They went out of their way to make us feel at home. Be sure that you check out their event next year about the same time. They have a car show, a poker run a hog roast and my favorite - the Trojan Band for the evening's entertainment. Those of you who missed last Saturday night should be ashamed of yourselves. We'll be in Indianapolis this weekend for 2 nights at the Moose Lodge on 16th street. Be sure to be there both nights because you never know what might happen. We've been having guest players from our past come and sit in and the atmosphere is electric. Mark Polver has been helping out on the lead guitar since Dave haws been under the weather. Some of you may remember Mark when he played bass guitar with us a few years ago and fills in for Mike when he's not able to make a gig. Mark is a fine guitarist and plays some really tasty licks on every song he plays. Come and see if you can get him to smile. Check out our schedule and plan to be there when we play whether it's in your town, neighborhood or just a good reason to go out of town and enjoy a night out with The Trojan Band. See you all there this weekend in Indy.

Hey this is very late notice but our show for June 3rd has been cancelled due to the weather. Right now they are trying to reschedule for later this summer so be sure to check out our web site and see when it will be held. I hope that all our fans can be there later this summer in down town Richmond for this concert on the Promenade. We'll be appearing in your area soon. If not then we need you to get your club or function started thinking about booking The Trojan Band for all their dances and functions. We've just booked 6 more appearances in Anderson Indiana at the Eagles. Thanks to them for their support of our band. Now we need to get back into the Eagles in Muncie, Indiana and Greenville and Celina, Ohio as well as the Moose Lodge in Greenville. Many times it is the efforts of one or more of our fans that will open the door to our appearances in your area so let your club manager know you want us to appear in your club. I'm looking forward to the next time we play so be sure that you let us know that you are there and we'll be sure to come over and sit a spell and talk and have some fun.See you soon!!!

WOW! If you weren't at the Fourth Floor Blues Club on Saturday night you should kick yourself. Jake and Elwood Soul from THE SOUL MEN were in town and THE TROJAN BAND backed their show for the evening. IT ROCKED! The house was packed and the crowd sang and danced with THE SOUL MEN and THE TROJAN BAND until midnight. THE SOUL MEN did all the favorites from the Blues Brother's Movie as well as a tribute to the night's sponsor the YMCA with an impromptu version of the famous song of the same name by the Village People. Especially funny was Elwood doing his "Cruise Brother" routine in his skivvies. We certainly hope to work with THE SOUL MEN many times in the future. Be sure not to miss an opportunity to see THE SOUL MEN and THE TROJAN BAND any time they appear in your area.

I remember when the Trojans first started. I went to school with Steve and I remember all of those who started the band. Steve is right...it rocked then and after all these years it still rocks. They are still my favorite band. I remember going to the dances at the National Guard Armory. That was so much fun. I have also been to the Eagles singles group on Friday nights where they play some times. Never will get tired of listening to the Trojans. One Friday night was really touching . All I'll say about it was a dance and a song called " Yesterday". It brought back so many memories. Thanks guys for so many great years of entertainment.

Well, it's official. The Trojan Band has been booked at The Fourth Floor Blues club to back up the Blues Brothers. It sounds like a lot of fun so be sure to plan on being there. There's limited seating but it's a great place to come sit and have a few drinks and listen to the show. They also have a dance floor so be sure to get out of your seat and polish your belt buckles. Dudley will have more information about tickets on the web site as soon as it becomes available. We have this weekend off and I'll be in the studio charting songs for the show on May 3rd. I need the rest but I'll miss playing. Our schedule for the year keeps growing and growing so keep a sharp eye on the dates and locations where The Trojan Band will be appearing. Be sure to come as often as you can and let us know you're at the show. We'll be looking forward to see you there.

Well it's finally spring although you can hardly tell it from the cold weather. I'm looking forward to this Saturday night in Connersville at the Amvets. It’s such a great club and the people there are really fun and nice too! We had a great time at the Shrine in Dayton Ohio last Saturday for their St. Patrick's Day dance. Potentate Ray Combs and his Lady Pat made us feel right at home. We saw some old friends and made some new ones as well. We are currently in negotiations for next year's Potentate's Ball for Bob Deem and his Lady Nina. I look forward to getting to know them well and working with them. You'll want to watch the schedule because I heard we have been contacted by The Fourth Floor Blues Club to play there again very soon. It's always a lot of fun to play there as well. I hope we'll see everyone in Connersville this Saturday night. Remember we start at 8:00, be on time. I'm ready to party. See you there.

My name is Steve Bishop and I would like to give a little history on the Trojan Band of Richmond, IN. I moved to Richmond, from Centerville when I was 6 years old. In 1964, I like most of the nation at that time saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan for the first time. Like many others I really liked that kind of rock 'n' roll. As I listened to the radio, I was always beating on things with my hands in time to the music and it just seemed natural. My father recognized this and told me that he would buy me a drum set, if I agreed to take drum lessons. Of course I said "Yes"! Mr. John McMahon was a well known rudimentary drum teacher in Richmond at the time. He would take the marching band's drum line music and re-write it for them. At the time there was no doubt that Richmond had the best drum line in the state and did for many years. I started playing at the age of 14. During the summer of 1966 when I turned 15, my friend Larry Hengslter was 16, we and another friend Chuck Parr would make a couple of trips and take my drums from my house on 2nd Street to Larry's house on 5th Street. Larry played the piano, so we would get together for duets. We thought that being in a band would be fun so we started to think of people that we knew who might like that too. Larry and I knew a guy named Tim Parr who was about 17 and played acoustical guitar and sang. Larry knew Richard Watson, who lived a few houses down from him. Richard was 23 and could sing. We needed a lead guitar player. Richard knew a guy that was 21 named Dave Noelker. Dave had a nice big Gretsch guitar like the one that George Harrison of the Beatles had and I was impressed! The band's first name was Timmy and the Trojans, after Tim Parr and a trucking company line that was located across the street from my house on 2nd. Tim painted the Trojan horse head on my bass drum and we started practicing at my house. My father bought an organ for Larry and an electric guitar for Tim. We became a very good band who could rock with any in the area. We also played ballads, instrumentals and even a little country. We played all over the area, but had the most fun playing in Battle of the Bands. We won some and lost some, but we would end these contests with a "little" song called Wipe Out, which has a great drum solo in it. It seemed like no one could touch us when played that song. It was a great time in our young lives, we enjoyed playing music and making a few bucks. We played at the Glen Miller park one 4th of July where a music agent from Ohio heard us and had us come to the recording studio. We recorded a song called Cherry Baby from the early 60's. It didn't go anywhere, but it was a good experience. As we went our seperate ways, mine was military service in the Air Force, Dave has kept the Trojan Band name going. In 2009 will be my 40th high school reunion. Hopefully I will be able to get with the band and jam just one more time. Thanks for letting me share.

Hey, great news. I've just learned that The Trojan Band will be appearing at the Anderson Indiana Eagles this weekend. It’s rather short notice but we're glad to finally be going to Anderson. We've talked to the Eagles there for a while and they promised to get us in there as soon as they could. My understanding is that the scheduled band had to cancel at the last minute due to a death in the family of one of their members. Our prayers and thoughts go out to that family who has lost a loved one and we hope for God's comfort and grace in the healing in their lives. I hope that everyone can come and hear us this weekend at the Eagles. Short notice but come on out and shake those winter blahs and party with The Trojan Band. I hope to see lots of our fans there. Be sure and let us know you're there so we can come and sit and talk with each and everyone of you. See you this weekend at the Eagles in Anderson Indiana.

Hi every one. It's been a while since I've checked in so I thought I'd do that while I had a minute here at lunch. I'm excited about being in Connersville this Friday night. I'm looking forward to the change from working all the time and playing our music. I love to play and I really enjoy seeing ALL our fans at these jobs. My mom is continuing her recovery from cancer but it has been very slow and she has issues with a damaged heart because of her chemotherapy. She's finished her chemo and her radiation so we're claiming her recovery in the name of Jesus. Praise and thank the Lord for his grace in healing. Our printing shop is still struggling but today we are still here so praise God for that as well. I hope that everyone can make the trip this Fridsay night to Connersville to be with us at the Moose. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there and having a great night. Don't you dare miss it.

Hello again, We had a great show last night in Richmond. We wish more of our fans had been there. The crowd (about 80 people) was very receptive and we appreciated the applause after each of our songs, especially after Hotel California!!! I've spoken with some who didn't make it to the show. They indicated that the weather reports had scared them into staying at home. COME ON PEOPLE!! If the weather gets bad we stay later and party harder. Some of the most fun I've ever had in the band has been playing in the bars after hours. We’ve always had a roaring time at the MIIDTOWN Bar in Brookville Indiana after finishing somewhere else there in town. Some nights we didn't get home until 6 in the morning, we can’t remember some of those nights too well, just that we had fun. Anyway, we'll be at the AMVETS in Vandalia Ohio for New Years Eve. The tickets are on sale now and are $25 dollars per person or $50 per couple. My information says that this includes dinner, drinks and party favors for the night. To confirm this we have a link on our schedule for more information on getting tickets. Ask the person who answers the phone about the amenities included with your tickets. Be sure to get your tickets early and be sure to get there before we start - to get a good seat. And most of all don't let the weatherman scare you away. We’ll all be there with our wives so you can meet them and we can make you all part of our family, The Trojan Band family. We are looking forward to seeing you there and having a good time.

Hi gang, I just thought I'd check in and leave a quick message here on our blog. For those of you who have my work email address, it's been down since last Friday. Of course I've met the nicest people from India who can't speak English who can't fix my DSL so I'm waiting. I've made it my personal mission to warn everyone about the lousy service you get from EARTHLINK. Just want to be sure that everyone is certain that I'm talking about the lousy service from EARTHLINK. Any way, if anyone wants to get email to me you'll have to leave a message here on the blog or wait until I can get a new modem. By the way did I mention the crappy service from EARTHLINK. They have successfully shut down my printing business for 9 days now. Much of our material we print comes to us via email, Not only doesn't our email work but after their attempts to fix the problem now my computer doesn't work either. I've been able to transfer my files and read my emails from my son's home and take important stuff out on a flash drive. We had a great time at Connersville last Saturday. It was good to see our friend Chuck and Cindy and Gene and Pam. We always have such a good time when our friends come to hear us play. My injured finger is almost completely healed and the nail has almost grown back over the end so playing the boards will be a lot easier and less painful from now on. I hope that we can see all of you at our next gig and perhaps you can bring some of your friends that haven't met THE TROJAN BAND and we can become their friends also. My cold is getting better very slowly and I have hopes of regaining my voice and singing soon. Well, that might not be good news for you all but I enjoy singing the songs I do. We'll see how I'm doing at our next job. Be sure to come and hear us play at our next job and let us know you're there. Never be afraid of coming right up and talking to us, we love to know that you're there and add you to our list of friends.

Hey, October is almost over and pretty soon The Trojan Band will be back at work. This brief respite has allowed me to get some work done, finish my taxes and get the itch to be playing. I've been helping my parent as much as possible but not as much as I'd like. My Mom is finishing chemotherapy for cancer and my Dad was supposed to have surgery on his shoulder but it was cancelled last Thursday because they found a blockage in his heart. Now he is scheduled for heart surgery on November 1st., any prayers for both of them are appreciated. My Mom is excited about her hair growing back. I hope the treatments will have been worth the terrible side effects she's suffered. My mom is the strongest person I know. I hope we can see a lot of our friends in Union City on the 3rd. Come on out and see our return to Union City. It's one of my favorite places to play. Don't be late the party starts at 8:00.

HEY :) everyone I've talked to about it seems to like the little recording I put on our home page. :) I downloaded a cool little digital 8 track recorder from www.download.com called Mixcraft and was just playing with it...learning how it works...and thats what came out. :) I thought it turned out pretty cool so I put it on here. Glad to hear y'all like it. Hey, we had a great time in Connersville last night (Fri., Oct. 5th) thanks to everyone that came out to party with us. I had fun! Well...gotta run... see y'all soon! Thanks again!

Hey Dudley, The new sound on the web site is awesome. It's really cool to start the page and hear the music and then you talking. I think you're pretty clever. I'm looking forward to playing tomorrow night at the Connerville Moose. I hope a lot of our fans will come and hear us. I have gotten a little better since getting a cold and losing my voice. I'll sing a few harmonies tomorrow and hopefully get some strength back in my voice. I'll see you and all our fans tomorrow night at the Connerville Moose. We start at 8:00 local time so don't be late and be sure to let us know you're there and saw our web site.

Dudley, this was a great idea having this added on. I'm sure you'll get lots of conversations going on here. Kris, I'm sorry to hear about the death of the fireman. I'm also sorry his young son has lost his dad. I'll be looking for the video on Extreme Makeover. Hope to see the band again soon. You guys are awesome :)

I sure missed playing this weekend but I needed the break. I spent the beginning of the week at a friend’s funeral and taped it for his wife. He was a very popular guy and a member of the New Madison Fire Department. They did a fine job of putting on an honorary fireman's funeral. He was 43, way to young. I'm in the studio now converting the digital video to DVD. Still a hard thing to do. The DVD's will sell for $15.00 each with $5.00 from each going to his widow and his 10-year-old son. If anyone wishes to just contribute they can contact me and I'll forward the address for the Fourman Family Fund. With luck the video will be submitted to Extreme Makeover Home Edition. I'm looking forward to playing for the folks at the Belden Picnic this coming Sunday at Glenn Miller Park in Richmond. We spend too much of our lives struggling and not enough celebrating. I want to celebrate! I hope to see a lot of our fans at our upcoming bookings and we'll celebrate and party.

Yeah Kris, I agree. I hope Trojan Band fans use this a lot! I'm looking forward to having a place where we can have a conversation with them anytime instead of just trying to squeeze a few quick minutes when we're on break somewhere. Thanks for agreeing to help with this! hehehe I guess I should have asked you guys if you wanted me to add a blog to our site, but our web hosting company, www.doteasy.com, made it to easy and it was priced right...it was FREE...hehe so I just went ahead and put it up here on our site. I think if people will use it it could be a really good thing. So people...ask us anything you want to...we may not answer...but you can always ask. :) Seriously, I do hope Trojan Band members and fans of the band alike will use this site and this blog often. Enjoy everyone!!!

Hey Dudley, This is a great idea and a great addition to our website. I hope that our fans will use it a lot. I'll try to visit often to be sure I'm part of the discussions and give answers to any questions that some one might ask of me. I can also give answers concerning keyboards, equipment, recording, and software applications I use to run my rig on stage and in the studio. I hope this can become our way of getting closer to the people who come to see us and help us get to know them better and be more responsive to the music they want to hear.
